Francis Agyepong – Head Chef
Francis attended Westminster College and achieved his City & Guilds in 1982 where his career started working initially for the Hendon Hall Hotel, from 1984 to 1993 Francis worked at the reputable Smith's Restaurant Covent Garden initially as Chef de Partie progressing to Head Chef, receiving fantastic reviews from the Times & the Evening Standard, Jonathan Meades described him as 'a breath of fresh air'. Francis appeared on Carlton Food Network in 1996 preparing & cooking various dishes for live Television as well as answering viewer questions. Francis joined Christopher's Restaurant Group as Sous Chef in 1993; Francis became Head Chef at Christopher's Victoria in 2000 before joining Christopher's Covent Garden as Head Chef in 2002. As well as being an extremely talented chef Francis's other love has been Athletics, his forte being the triple jump. At the age of 19 he was ranked No.1 in the United Kingdom and by 1990 he was competing on an international stage. In 1992 Francis had achieved the dream that so many wish for by representing Great Britain at the Barcelona Olympic Games, a feat he repeated 4 years later at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Between 1995 & 1997 Francis was ranked in the top ten triple jumpers in the world. Christopher’s can proudly boast of having the only truly 'Olympic Chef' in London.
Barry Crawford – Senior Sous Chef
Started his career at Drury Lane Hotel as Commis Chef and has worked at numerous establishments for well over 20 years gaining experience in different culinary styles and cultures, including Overseas House Private Members Club, Meridian Piccadilly, Wok Wok, Shoeless Joes before joining the Christophers Restaurant group in 2000 as Sous Chef in what was the Victoria site and then Christopher's Covent Garden in 2002 as Sous Chef. Barry is now Senior Sous Chef working alongside Head Chef Francis Agyepong developing and evolving the Restaurant Menu.
David Seccombe – General Manager
Started his career in 1986 at Simpson's-in-the-Strand, part of The Savoy Group of Hotels & Restaurants. Worked his way up through the ranks from Kitchen to Restaurant finishing as Deputy General Manager in 1996. Moved to Cornwall to run his own Restaurant until moving back to London as Operations Manager for Home House Private Members Club, Home House bought Scott’s Restaurant, Mayfair and David was appointed General Manager in 2002. In 2004 David moved to Cheshire as a Director of Tom at 101 Restaurant & Bar, Stockton Heath, in 2008 the restaurant was awarded 'Cheshire Life – Restaurant of the Year'. David joined Christopher's as General Manager in July 2010.
Sherry Warner MBE – Events & Sales Manager
Sherry has worked for some fantastic brands, individuals and Restaurants over many years, including Diageo Plc, the world’s largest producer of spirits; Sherry handled the whole portfolio for all the top restaurants in London. Sherry was also Senior Chef to the Prime Ministers Office for 9 ½ Years under Margaret Thatcher’s reign & John Major. Sherry received her MBE in Margaret Thatcher's Resignation Honours. Sherry Joined Christopher's as Events & Sales Manager in 2006 and oversees all details and bookings for large parties both in the restaurant & in our exclusive Private Dining Room.
